The module description still refers to CCK - please update the .info file to say "Fields" for the D7 version.

e.g.

Here's a patch that cleans up the .info file for Drupal 7, incorporating #1020038: Move Custom Formatters module to Fields package in D7 as well. (Note: removed files[] listings which later in D7 was made unnecessary for any files not including classes that needed loading.)

andrewmacpherson, have you tested Custom Formatters much with Drupal 7? How is it working for you?
