Installed & enabled the module, extracted PIE-1.0beta5.zip to sites/all/libraries/PIE/, added the line: ".itsapie" to admin/config/user-interface/css3pie, saved configuration, created & enabled a block with an image using ckeditor, in image properties gave stylesheet class of: "itsapie". Resulting in a square image.
Did I get it right or am I missing something?

iler commentedWell it's not working this way. I think you should read more about CSS3PIE and creating rounded corners with CSS3. You have to create the styles for rounding the images before the "magic" happens in IE with PIE. Here are couple of links to get started:
