On your project's main page you have a snapshot of the Counter in action. The results on the website I am configuring do not show up in a nice looking format with a red title bar and the results inside of a box. They simply look like this (see below). Is there something that I am missing when it comes to the configuration of the module? Thanks for your time in helping.

Create a block-counter-0.tpl.php and apply some css to customize it.
A simple:<div id="css-id-here"><?php print $block->content ?></div> inside the tpl above. This eliminates the big title "Counter" and displays just the counter info.
Also, inside counter.module there is a <ul class="counter"> which you can override too.
Just add your custom css to override this.
