It could be useful for supported browser "position: fixed". 

.fixed {
  position: fixed;
  _position: absolute;
}

or developing a fix or css hack for IE5.5 && IE6

If you are interested i'll provide a patch for bottom positiong too.

Hello - sorry for late reply but I was offline during Christmas.

Providing support for fixed position corner images is on my to-do list for the next iteration of the module. The attached CSS code is the easy part of adding that feature - I also need to add code in the module to handle the option, and expand the DB table - if you want to feel free to create a patch for it, otherwise I'll leave it as a postponed feature until I start working on the 6.x-2.x branch.

Regarding the bottom positioning - that would be great! It's another thing on my to-do list for the next version. Can you create a new 'feature request' issue for it and we'll take it from there?

Added issue for bottom corners (#354664: Add support for bottom left and right corner images) and started implementation of that and this one.
