I like the way Content Profile offers the full CCK functionality that I need for my profiles, but I want to be able to share these profiles. Using the profile module this is easily done by just setting the profile tables with a prefix.

What would be the best way to share content profiles?

Do you mean for a multisite install? There is no easy way to do so, unless you share the whole nodes of the page.
