The new CRS.com is an excellent example of the flexibility, scalability and extensibility that Drupal 7 offers to projects that require a CMS that integrates efficiently and cleanly with an external data management system.

The new CRS.com is an integration of contributed Drupal modules and custom modules written by CommonPlaces. It fulfilled and exceeded client's expectations and specific requirements.

The case investigates and portrays not only extensive capabilities of Drupal, but also shows some of the challenges that we needed to overcome throughout the project.

Workflow integration, GeoSpatial/Geolocation Search, E-Commerce, and E-Learning are only small examples of how well Drupal was able to handle some immense tasks. The case study gives ideas on how to specifically handle some of the challenges faced with executing and integrating some of these features to support and release stable Drupal 7 modules.

The CRS case study should be considered to be featured showcase. It is a true example of Drupal's flexibility and it's collaborative philosophy, involving 5 Drupal developers. The case study's intent is not to showcase the work of any specific developers but instead to show the collective effort and collaboration of the entire Drupal community.

Could you provide a link to your case study?

Thank you for your consideration!

I amended some URLs as they were producing 'internal links'. Replaced one occurrence of www.crs.com which was intended to point to the old website but which now forwards to the new one.

I think the website is a good Featured candidate.

There are one or two helpful techie bits but on first reading it felt a bit long-winded without actually conveying great Drupal detail. But I'm not sure what exactly I would want removed. There are one or two paragraphs that seem unnecessary but do, I guess, provide some context for paragraphs that follow - for instance, the 'Education and E-Learning' section. I'd have to have another proper read I think :)

Finally, not sure the YouTube links are necessary and I'd like to see the 'Community contributions' section expanded.

It's very well written but I'd be happy to do a grammar/spellcheck following a comment or two from another reviewer.

I think this is a really good candidate for Featured, with only a few minor tweaks.

I agree with Tezza that the YouTube links aren't really necessary.

I also agree that the Community Contribution section needs to be expanded. I'd like to hear more about the patches - I'm slightly unclear on whether the developers created patches, or contributed to patches, or just utilized patches other users had created. More details would be great. Not a huge amount, just a little.

I'd also like to hear more about the timeline of the project in the Project Goals section. It'd be interesting and informative to hear about how long the various parts of the project took, especially since there was so much information migration involved, and how long it took to integrate the new (Drupal) elements of the site with the old info management system. I think this section just needs a few sentences about the timeline.

Other than that, this looks good to me.

Hi folks -- we removed the YouTube links, added some timeline info and changed the contributions section to explain as best we could. :) Hopefully this helps -- let us know if there is anything else and thanks!

Hi guys -- just wanted to see if the changes we made took care of the questions you had. :) Thanks again very much!

I think you've made sufficient additions to case study. I'd like now to proof it line-by-line so if you can give me a day or two i'll get to it.

+1 on promoting this one. Tezza/Kate please set to RTBC once you're happy with the text.

Hi Mike - I've attached a text document with some suggestions that I hope will improve an already excellent case study. Very interesting reading.

Hello -- one of my colleagues took care of this and made the changes and says it should be all set -- please let us know if there is anything else. Thank you!

There was an error or two in my corrections document so I've made a few amendments to the case study to put them right. Also, amended the second para in the Workflow section just to smooth it out a little.

I think we're good to go.
