merilainen commentedI have exactly the same question in mind. I'm building a large form with lots of checkboxes and it would be nice to use taxonomies to define those selections instead of CCK's textfield with allowed values. But there's always the option "other", or several of them, where user can input something else.

gooddesignusa commentedalso would like this module to work with the core taxonomy module. Content taxonomy doesn't work with the nodeorder module.
edit: it half works if you check the option labeled: "Save values additionally to the core taxonomy system (into the 'term_node' table)."

acondiff commentedim trying to do the same. If worse comes to worse I will have to just use a text select list with allowed values and have that control my other fields. But I'd really like taxonomies terms to control my fields.

yan commentedThat'd be great!
I guess this is a feature request, isn't it?

Stomper commentedI would appreciate this functionality in my UberCart application. I would like to display taxonomy relevant fields based on the selected taxonomy term.
I have a generic "product" content type but a variety of possible products (taxonomy vocabulary), some fields in the content type are irrelevant for some product types while other fields are relevant for one type.
I do not want to have to create additional content types if possible, and taxonomy based conditional fields could address my needs.
Thanks

hjulien commentedI would also like this. The context involves displaying an event date field depending on the taxonomy term of News type 'Event'.
I also have to use core taxonomy. Anyone know of a workaround?

peterpoe commentedSorry, Conditional Fields is built around CCK, so adding support for other kinds of fields would be very complex.
It look like a better task for a spin-off module.
