Hello is there a step by step of how to make a sub-group in commons, I found this https://docs.acquia.com/commons/legacy/subgroups

but it does not work for 3.x there is not a "subgroups settings" menu in the configurations of OG

and also there is an integration with https://www.drupal.org/project/og_subgroups I tried to use it but no idea how to use it I have read some documentation but there is not too much of documentation about this feature in Commons.

Hello, thanks for your interest in commons! There is some discussion here, but it is a bit old, and we haven't seen any movement on the feature. I'd encourage you to read over this discussion. Unfortunately as of June 2014, there isn't a feature committed upstream, but if work is done on that feature one of us can review.
