Is there any chance of a real world example implementation being built, e.g. FedEx, UPS, and not just the shipping_example module? The rationale is to ensure that the API really covers what is actually necessary. Thanks :)

I have built a real world shipping module that integrates with this module to handle shipping quote calculation for the site I made this module for.

Making an example module for UPS or FedEx wont ensure that all that is needed is covered, but that's not really possible right now. We need physical products in core, to do such a thing, as the price that needed to paid would be dependent on size/weight.

I'm not sure that we should have all sorts of shipping integrations with in this module either. That was not the intent when I created this, but to create an API that could be used making integration easy.
