It would be great to clarify if this module allows for individual recurring line-items - vs. full recurring orders.

My use case is as follows:

In online donations, a user could add multiple donations - each could recur monthly or annually. When I add both a monthly donation & annual donation, the "Next Invoice" is set to the interval of the first recurring line item in the rulecommerce_recurring_initialise_recurring.

As I've looked through the rules and actions, I'm not sure the best method to accomplish this, but my idea is to replicate the recurring order rules, etc., on line items.

So, instead of attaching the commerce_recurring_next_due and commerce_recurring_payment_due to the order entity, attach those fields to the line item.

Is this the best method to think through accomplishing my use case?

Yes, the line item should be the recurring thing, not the order.

At this point there are 6 sites using the 1.x branch of recurring framework, I'm dropping support for that version recommending to use and contribute to the 2.x
