I have a situation where I need to add people to a specific list based on a product being in the cart. Unfortunately right now it seems the checkout rule is limited to all lists, rather than specifying a specific list.

It would be really great if we could in the rule specify lists, then I could create two seperate rules based on the products in the cart.

Hi Adam,

Here is a patch. You can choose a mailchimp list from the drop down menu in rule action.

Question: is your Rule action sending the order data (the ecommerce360 data) to Mailchimp?

Can you provide feedback on this issue: #2114865: Do we need different Commerce Mailchimp Rule actions / conditions?
That way we can decide on how to implement all the functionality you (and others) need (like this subscription list choice) in the most flexible configurable way.
Your feedback is valuable and appreciated very much.

Hi @s1l. Sorry for the really late reply, just busy with work. The rule action does not sent any data to mailichimp. Based on the scenario I assumed that the information is not needed to be sent to commerce mailchimp.
I think that existing rule could be a bit flexible, as at the moment there is no option to choose a specific choice in the list.
If there is a need of more flexible rule rather than the one which I provided, then I'll give it a go.

@stefank thank you for the patch, I would recommend you to post this patch (with some changes according to the current mailchimp library version) to the Mailchimp module - it would be great to have general "Subscribe to specific Mailchimp list" rule action in that module.
