Based off what I've seen so far with the module:

  • Starting price is calculated off of the price of the product. When you save the node it will pull it in.
  • There is no option to specify what the highest bid possible is -> this would be a feature request. You can limit the increase between bids with the maximum bid increase and percentage, but there isn't an option to give an absolute max.

Ah yes. I understand. I think I got it working. However, auction functionality is not really working. I can only add things to a cart. I must be missing something.

The display nodes that are auctions should have a tab that allows you to make a bid. I've been rewriting a significant portion of the module to fit my needs so I don't know if I'm remembering this correctly, but, I believe you need to change the format type of the product reference to remove the Add to Cart button. Then, once the auction is over, and the product display is visited the won auction will be added to the winners cart.

That's exactly how it works, and we do have a tab to allow users to place bids (the auction owner won't see this tab, because she's not supposed to place bids on her own auction).
