I was playing around with the display of Product and Product Display node and I noticed the following issue (seems like a bug to me ?)
If the Display setting of the Product reference field is not using " Add to cart form" all the other selected fields won't show up, in views or even in node viewing mode.

If the product reference field is visible, then all other fields disappear in the node view

Maybe its not a bug but intentional.
Any way it is confusing at first.

Yeah, this is the way it's been coded to work - that said, this would probably be better as an explicit setting on the product reference field in conjunction with #1038320: Replace the "magic configuration" of attribute fields with explicit settings.

So, we can't have both custom fields and the "add to cart form" ? its a pity :(

Should I leave this thread open until #1038320: Replace the "magic configuration" of attribute fields with explicit settings is solved or simply close it now ?

No, no... let's leave it open and fix it. I'm finishing that other issue right now and will then knock this one out quickly.

Alrighty, just committed a fix for this. Field injection is now based entirely on a specific setting in the field instance regardless of the display formatter.
