BTW, this needs a lot of testing, since there are several combinations
- DATE_ISO / DATE_UNIX / DATE_DATETIME / DATE_ICAL
- single dates vs date ranges
- time zone handling: Site's, Date's, User's, UTC, No convertion
- granularity: year, month, day, hour, minute, second
- date_repeat
