Collective Directory

The Collective Directory project is for organizations dedicated to preserving historical collective. This distribution combines the Rain distribution with a custom starter theme and additional features specific for museums and historical archives.

The Collective Directory project is supported and maintained by USC Libraries in collaboration with LAasSubject. The project was supported in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.

Feedback and Support

Join our Slack channel #rain-distro on Drupal.org Slack for questions and general feedback. This channel is for all Rain projects including the Collective Directory distribution. For bugs, feature requests and other support please create an issue in the project issue queue and be as descriptive as possible.

How to Install

The best way to install the Collective Directory project is to leverage Mediacurrent's project template. Follow the instructions on the Mediacurrent Drupal project README page for the initial setup.

The next step will be to include the collective distribution by executing the following command:
composer require mediacurrent/collective

Once that is done you will want to replace the default "mis_profile" referenced in config.yaml with the "collective" install profile.

Source Control

The Collective Directory profile Bitbucket project repository is the primary source for commits and releases. All updates will be syndicated to this project’s git repository. Public issue tracking and patching will also take place on this project page.
