Cannot Add Session - Field Conference must be populated via URL

After upgrading to the COD support modules from the COD distribution 7.x-2.0-beta4 I started receiving an the error of "Field Conference must be populated via URL" when trying to add session or schedule items through the entityreference prepopulate links:

What was happening is that the permissions to add content for each group were not being recognized.

Here are the steps I took to fix the issue:

1. Turn off the "Content Access" and the "Organic Group Access" modules
2. Clear Cache
3. Enable "Content Access" and the "Organic Group Access" modules
4. Rebuild Content Permissions - admin/status/report/rebuild
5. visit the organic group and click the link to rebuild permissions for the Organic Group
6. Edit the OG Event - Select Permissions - check each role that need the permissions to add content
7. DONE
