This is to report bizarre behavior involving Choosen. On two occasions I deleted a couple of taxonomy term values from a Choosen select list field, then when I added some values back, Choosen inserted the wrong ones! I tested this many times. For example, I might select "Larry" from the list, but Choosen would insert "Bob".
I tried this in two different content types, Biblio citation and a View-based image table, with two different max number of values, 6 and 10. Same problem occurred.
I logged in again, cleared cache (from the Performance page), and did not experience the problem again.
This issue concerns us because of its intermittent nature. That is, because it may be rare and/or difficult to reproduce, and we don't know if our users are accidentally inserting incorrect values.
I have not noticed the issue in the past. I guess it could have something to do with caching? The only other action that was done prior to experiencing the issue was that deleted one taxonomy term via the "delete" button on its properties page. Typically I would have deleted it using the Taxonomy Manager modules. But I don't think this is significant either.
I could not find that anyone has reported this issue. My prior experience is that Choosen is sometimes incompatible with certain browsers, configurations, and other Drupal modules, such as the Performance/CSS Embedded Images module.

hydra commentedThanks for reporting this. Although I cannot reproduce this, it might be good if there is an issue in case somebody else discovered the same behavior. I don't believe this has to do something with caching, but I can't tell. This could also be an issue of the chosen plugin. Feel free to have a look at chosen's issue queue and open an issue, perhaps the chosen maintainers got an idea https://github.com/harvesthq/chosen/issues.
Thats all I can do by now, if this ever happens again and you can describe how to reproduce, please reopen the issue :)
