We need to test whether Date PHP4 will be needed (PHP versions less than 5.2) and enable it.

Also, why not go ahead and enable all the date and core CCK modules so they're available to use?

I couldn't find anyone with a PHP4 site willing to try this out, but I assume it's right... Untested, but committed to HEAD and backported to DRUPAL-5.
