Can iPad recognition be worked in to the browscap module? I made a few customizations to my implementation to get it to work, but I can't decide what to classify an iPad as - mobile or not.

Strager commentedYes one of the updates in the past 2 weeks, has changed my iPad from non-mobile to mobile. This is a tricky situation, as it can go either way. However most sites treat the iPad as non-mobile, and gives a complete website. I would like to do the same with my website. Can this be fixed? or maybe an option to configure this?
Danrasband could you share what you did for the iPad?

jsheffers commentedSubscribed! I would love for the iPad to be incorporated into the Browscap Module.

jpowell commentedI third this request. It would be great to differentiate the iPad from an iPhone. In my use case I would like to serve the full site for the iPad and a mobile version for the iPhone. Thanks!

devin carlson commentedSome mobile devices/tablets are really starting to blur the lines between portable devices and full-featured computers (screen resolution, computational power, etc).
I think the solution to these sorts of problems is to let an administrator manually change/override Browscap data. This functionality does not currently exist but is being discussed at #570932: Administration to edit the Browscap data, so I am marking this as a duplicate.
