Trying to se boxes as the base for my new teme and I realize that the mltilevel menus are not working, any help getting them working?

That's funny that you created an issue today as I was just looking at the project this morning thinking I needed to update it. If you are in a hurry, you can copy menu templates from the Platinum starter theme as that has the correct separation of markup for main navigation and off-canvas menus. It gets tricky depending on if you are using a sub-theme of a sub-theme because there is a menu override that allows for a different menu template for off-canvas menus. Each theme is a little different how I chose to define the menus on the page. The Boxes theme was one of my first ones using UIkitty 2.x so I learned a few things along the way and have since moved on to developing all my new themes using UIkitty 3.x. If you make any useful changes to the theme, I would be happy to update the code and credit you accordingly.

I will try to get around to updating the default menus as soon as I can.

Thanks! I will use the platinium template.
The main changes I am doing to the teme is or adapting it to te website of my client, not a very heavy customization for being honest, just a few mods of the way FrontPage works and to the size of the colums on the rest o the pages, pretty basic atm.
