Hi,

When using less compiler (lessc) I've found the Bootstrap theme (stable release) is not compatible with the latest version of Bootstrap. With 3.1.1 I get the error "NameError: variable @blockquote-font-size is undefined in type.less". 3.1.0 has a different error.

It would be great if you can note somewhere what the version of Bootstrap was that is compatible with dev and non-dev versions of the theme. Let me know if I missed this. The requirements section of the module page would be ideal. I'm guessing people who are just editing style.css are unaffected by this though.

Assuming the dev version will generally work with a recent Bootstrap version, but I'm keen to use a stable release.

Kind regards,

Ben

Please use a local preprocessor/compiler.

I have tried lessc (via npm) from console locally and also the LiveReload Mac App which does local compilation when style.less is saved.

3.0.2 works fine with the 3.x-3.0 stable, but 3.1.x does not compile and produces errors.

Sorry, read this wrong and gave the wrong duplicate issue. You need to update your variables.less file in your sub-theme to the latest version. Similar to what happened in the related issue.

Great, thanks. Replacing variables.less in the theme with the 3.1.1 version works. Didn't realise it would be that simple!

Much appreciated.

Keep in mind the font paths are different though.
