I tried to reach Crank (the module owner) but his contact tab is disabled.

I think is worth mentioning there was a similar request for 8 months ago, without any answer. #1428072: [bootstrap] Is this project still under maintenance?

crank has not been around for over 4 years and his email address on file is not a real address. I've given you ownership of the project. While this does seem to sort of sidestep our normal protocol for project takeovers, I myself have tried to get in touch with crank a few months ago (when I was interested in working with Bootstrap). After many weeks of trying, I was not able to find a way to get in touch with him, so I think it's very safe to say that this project is abandoned.

wundo, I've given you ownership of the project node. Please get in touch with the creator of #1428072: [bootstrap] Is this project still under maintenance? and offer to join forces with him. While his request was earlier than yours, you have code behind bootstrap and I'd hate to see duplicate effort.
