I am importing multiple publications for a group of users, but cannot find a method to set these as authors for later editing. Thought that by selecting the User ID for the person this would be recorded as being the authoring person for this individual publication, but turned out not to be the case.

Is there an easy method for doing this - other than going into each individual item and change the author field manually ?

Regards,

Svend

That's what that option was supposed to do but I think it's broken and I haven't had a chance to look into it yet. I'll check on it soon and report back.

This is now fixed in the -dev version and will propagate to the next release version in due course.

I have upgraded to the latest -dev version, but cannot see any changes? Do I need to reimport all publications? If so can I simply export all publications and import them again as a mass?

Regrettably, yes you will have to re-import. Presumably, you have the original file you imported, so you could just delete the entries you previously imported and then do it again. You can delete them en mass from the content management page.
