[Meta] Roadmap: Bendy 1.x

Motivation

• Limited availability of responsive slideshows, banners, carousels (but getting better)
• Views Slideshow has been the go-to module for creating Featured content banners (rotors, slider W.H.Y.), but is difficult to make it responsive. See the following issues that all contain different and convoluted solutions to the issue:

Goals

1. To package up a feature that utilizes existing modules, rather than going and creating yet another slider module to add to the already 100 others.
2. To create a simple, turn-key Featured content rotating banner that can still be customized if the user wished to.

Known Issues

Need to have at least two pieces of content to work. See #1259912: Make slideshow not fail when there is only a single slide

Current state

The module is production ready, but could use some other testers to utilize in on other responsive themes besides Omega. Would also like to look at perhaps supporting IE6-8 (At least 7 and 8) as it doesn't look it's best in those browsers. Maybe adding respond.js or modernizr.
