I'm running into an issue with Bean 1.7 that I did not experience with 1.2. After setting the permissions for anonymous and authenticated user roles for "BEAN TYPE: view bean", anonymous is still not able to view it via a view that does not have any access setting. I gave the roles permission to view bean block pages and that allowed the roles to view the page, but still could not view any content displayed via a view.

I noticed that v1.2 used a function called bean_access() and v1.7 uses entity_access(). I'm not sure, but that might be part of the issue.

This ended up not being an issue with the Bean module. It was more likely with the file entity module and using relationships in views to get more data about an image I had on the bean type.

Short story: changing views so it did not rewrite the SQL query and allowed it to bypass module level access checks allowed the view to display the bean content like it should.
