I have created a simple patch which allows displaying of embedded images. It replaces src attributes of img tags, pointing them to attachment locations.

I realize it's been over 2 years, and you probably aren't even using this anymore, but the patch no longer applies to the current code base.

Also, when I applied it manually, it didn't appear to change anything, i.e: I could see the images correctly w/o the patch.
