I see that on the road map there are plans to port the module to Drupal 6. There are a couple of projects upcoming where I would like to use Drupal 6 and this module would be great for those projects. Any time lines when you might get a chance to port the module? I'd be happy to help test and report any bugs.

I don't have any timeframe, sorry. I want to release a non-beta version for 5 and then port to 6. Yes, please test!

Port is underway in CVS HEAD. Module installs and pages come up fine. Needs more testing.

It sounds like the module seems to work for Drupal 6, can I go ahead and start using it? What sort of testing do you need? I can certainly give good bug reports if there is a problem.

List sign-up with hasn't been tested at all with CVS HEAD code. If you'd like to checkout from CVS, install, and try out the various sign-up functions I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

I installed and enabled the the D6 module and all that went good. I have yet to hook it up to an aweber acount and test it that way, but I thought I would verify that the pages do come up ok and it seems to install ok. Good work.

I have installed the CVS for D6 and hooked it to Aweber... it all seems to be ok and even shows up on the registration page!

The only "problem" is that it doesn't seem to send the subscription until cron is run. Is there a way to have it send immediately?

subscribing, I suggest making a beta version for 6 available so more people can try the module and give feedback, thanks for the module.

I would test out a D6 beta version. I don't know how to do what rlnorthcutt did in #8, though would really like to!

If you don't have cvs you could go to http://cvs.drupal.org/viewvc.py/drupal/contributions/modules/aweber/?pat... and download the links under 'Rev.' to a folder called 'aweber'.

I am looking to hand this module over to a new maintainer. See the project page http://drupal.org/project/aweber for details. Please don't follow up in this issue regarding taking over ownership. Let's keep this issue regarding the Drupal 6 port, thanks.

I copied the CVS files into a folder named 'aweber' but when I go to enable the module it says
"This version is incompatible with the 6.15 version of Drupal core." and does not have a check box to actually enable the module.

Is this how this port is meant to be used? I find the instructions hard to follow! cheers

Is anybody actually using it or actively working on this?

Who is the project maintainer? Could you start with creating a D6 branch and committing whatever latest code is available?

Then we could test it and submit patches based on it. Thanks!

coltrane’s picture

@dkruglyak Did you read the AWeber project page? CVS HEAD is Drupal 6, so you can submit patches against it. I've had a couple inquiries about taking over the module, but nobody has responded back to me and really shown they are really interested.

@coltrane: I noticed this after posting. It would still be helpful to create a 6.x-1.x branch, it is a bit overdue already.

Version: 5.x-1.x-dev » 6.x-1.x-dev

Sure, release made (will be published once rolled) http://drupal.org/node/723230 but I can't guarantee I'll be able to review and apply patches etc. I'm still looking for someone to take over this module.

Hello coltrane,

Thanks for all the work you put into this module :)

Would it be possible to list the 6.x-1.x branch on the project page?

I think this can help increase usage and contributions from the community..and quite possibly find someone to really be interested in taking over this module.

Regards,

KH
