I guess you have update from alpha3 to beta1. And what you need to do then is to go to that panel setting page and go to settings for the author pane and select a "Join date, date type" for that pane and then save. It should solve the error message.

Thank you, that fixed the issue. Shouldn't it handle this error message a bit more eloquently? (don't need to answer that)... anyways looks like I can go forword on this project! WOOOHOOO!
