This module adds extra functionality to the main Automatic Updates module
Question: Why not integrate this functionality directly into the Automatic Updates module?
The decision to develop "Automatic Updates Extras" separately stems from the focus of the Automatic Updates module on Drupal Core. As it aligns with the Core MVP (Minimum Viable Product), its feature set is deliberately limited. Moreover, the module undergoes rigorous conversion to the core version and must adhere to strict core standards, resulting in potentially slow development cycles.
Automatic Updates Extras aims to address requirements that extend beyond the scope of the core MVP. While some features may eventually transition to the core version, others may find a more fitting home outside of it.

At Drupalcon Portland Contribution day there will be acode sprint to start new features for this module.
Features
Although still in its early stages, "Automatic Updates Extras" presents potential features such as:

- Advanced automatic update selection: Ensuring the site of as many security updates as possible when not all updates can be applied
