Is there a estimated date as to when the Drupal 7 version will be ready?

tamerzg commentedI got busy by some other work, but hopefully I ll find time to release it before the end of this month.

calte commentedThats very exciting
Comment #4
Knarf31 commentedCan't wait, too ;-)
Comment #5
rhemagraphix commentedYeah me too, i'm planning on using this upon release
Comment #6
tamerzg commentedI released the beta version today. Module is working except for couple of warnings that I still didn't have time to fix. Please report if you notice any other errors.
Comment #7
micheas commentedI may be doing something wrong, and maybe I have a conflicting module. (I have media and media-youtube installed.)
I can select the player from /admin/config/media/audiofield (I have WordPress Audio Player and XSPF Slim Player installed.)
However, when I go to /admin/structure/types/manage/mp3/display I cannot select a display value other than hidden.
Hence the widget is always hidden.
<update> I am using php 5.3.3-7 on a 64 bit machine, which may or may not effect anything.
Comment #8
atchijov commentedSame problem here and I am fairly sure that I do not have any conflicting modules.
Comment #9
atchijov commentedAdding 'audio' to 'field types' in audiofield_field_formatter_info() solved this problem:
function audiofield_field_formatter_info() {
$formatters = array(
'audiofield_embedded' => array(
'label' => t('Audio'),
'field types' => array('filefield', 'audio' ),
'description' => t('Displays audio embedded in a web page.'),
),
);
Comment #10
micheas commentedatchijov's patch solves the issue with configuring the visibility of field for me.
I still do not have the player showing up, but I am just beginning to investigate that issue.<update> I had a misconfiguration of the audio field. Other than a bunch of warning messages it is now functioning.
Comment #11
veleiro commentedSorry, i'm newer.. but where do you add this patch? attach it to the bottom of audiofield_formatter.inc?
Comment #12
micheas commentedin audiofield.module
change the field that looks like:
'field types' => array('filefield')
to
'field types' => array('filefield', 'audio' ),
Don't do that though.
Go to http://drupal.org/node/1069298 and download the version that is there.
It fixes a lot of problems.
Comment #13
veleiro commentedOkay.. I got it. I already had that version installed.. but this D7 release in the sense that you have to select "audio" instead of File as the field type. In D6 you selected file and then audio under display.
Comment #14
mokaspar commentedHi,
Thank you for this module!
When I looked at the code, I relized that this module defines a new fieldtype. I was wondering, why you do this hassle instead of just define a new widget for the 'file'-type?
Comment #15
mokaspar commentedJust giving the issue a more descriptive title.
Comment #16
will_in_wi commentedIs there an upgrade path from D6? I made it work on a test site by modifying the database to make the field appear to be a filefield, but that really isn't a solution.
Comment #17
tamerzg commentedLatest dev is implemented as widget of type filefield, so it is compatible with D6.
Comment #19
jenlamptonAs asked in #16, is there an upgrade path from D6 yet?
I'm suffering from #1423656: Audio fields will not upgrade from D6 -> D7 (audiofields do not work with the CCK content migrate module) but it looks like maybe the upgrade path has never been tested. Is that correct?
Comment #20
jenlamptonClosing this issue again since I posted a solution for the upgrade path issue in #1423656: Audio fields will not upgrade from D6 -> D7 (audiofields do not work with the CCK content migrate module)
