After enabling Appbar on the module configuration page, the following messages appear in a green box:

* Appbar has been successfully installed. You should now configure the settings and permissions.
* The configuration options have been saved.

That's normal of course, but the problem is that those messages don't go away even if I navigate to another page. Worse yet, any new messages get permanently appended to that list. Disabling the Appbar module clears all the accumulated messages and makes this stop happening.

This occurs with both 6.x-2.x-alpha1 and 6.x-2.x-dev from 2010-07-27. I'm using all of the default Appbar settings. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Appbar, but that doesn't help.

After further investigation I found that disabling the Popups API 6.x-1.3 module fixes this problem. Sorry for not checking for module conflicts before reporting this bug.

Sorry for the delay, I was on vacation -- if there is a bug here, it's probably in the Popups API module, and unfortunately that module is no longer maintained. However it can probably be easily fixed by simply changing the Appbar setting that converts system messages to Appbar alerts.
