Same exact error as: http://drupal.org/node/594410 just for this installation profile.

After installing the 6.x-1.0 alpha version...
"I look at the new links in the admin section, click on the comments link : 'admin/settings/api/comments' and get a PHP Fatal error. Fatal error: Call to undefined function comment_form_alter() in api/api.admin.inc on line 255"

@nowarninglabel, thanks. I haven't had much time for this profile and I know that there has been some large changes to the API module. Hopefully I will have some time in the next couple weeks to get this back to a working state.

zzolo, cool. Yeah, I'd being willing to help you, but I actually completely gave up on this. I kept trying to run the job_queues but there were calls in API module to various _branches_() functions that were non-existent, something about the branch was not getting set. I thought perhaps this was a problem with the API module, but did clean install and followed these instructions: http://drupal.org/node/425944 and was able to get something going.

For now, I'd recommend putting a note or something up saying that this installation profile isn't really functioning.

This is fixed in API: #594410: Fatal error, missing comment dependency?

So there is no need to change the dependency for comment.
