AEO (Agentic Engine Optimization) helps your Drupal site prepare for the next era of search — where AI assistants and “answer engines” summarize content directly.
This module audits, scores, and (optionally) auto-fixes your pages so they’re ready to be featured in Google AI Overviews and agentic search results.

Automatic content audits – Runs checks on your nodes to find missing summaries, FAQs, steps, schema markup, alt text, author data, and freshness gaps.

  • AEO scoring – Gives every page a clear 0–100 readiness score with category breakdowns (Structure, Schema, Media, E-E-A-T, Freshness).
  • Fix suggestions & safe auto-apply – Generates non-destructive fixes that create new drafts (never overwrite live content).
  • Visual dashboard – See which content types or pages need attention and re-audit them in one click.
  • Per-node report tab – Editors can view their page’s score, explanations, and suggested fixes right beside the content.
  • Optional AI assistance – When paired with the ai module, AEO can propose summaries, FAQs, alt text, and schema data.
  • Built-in safety – Works with Content Moderation and revision control to keep editors in charge.

Post-Installation

After installation:

  • Visit Configuration → Content authoring → AEO Settings to select which content types to audit and map summary/FAQ fields.
  • Go to Content → AEO Dashboard to run your first audit and view scores.
  • Each node now has an AEO tab showing its score, findings, and fix options.
  • Optionally enable auto-fix policies or AI assistance under settings.

No new content types or text formats are added — AEO works with your existing nodes.
