I think I am supposed to be sent to a confirmation page but when I press the Reset Vote nothing happens. The page just reloads, saves the current changes but never resets the votes.

Yep, this definitely needs to be fixed in D6 still. Will commit any good patches but unfortunately don't have time to fix it right now.

Alright I had a good time refactoring this functionality:

  • Fixed it in D6.
  • Rephrased from "reset votes" to "clear all votes."
  • Moved button from the Edit-settings form to the Votes tab as was discussed back in September 2007.
  • Votes tab will now be displayed if individual votes are viewable OR if votes can be cleared. Page content is customized based on security permissions.
  • Added a watchdog entry whenever a poll's votes are cleared.
