It would be great if there were an option to restrict viewing of the poll to the electoral list, on a poll-by-poll basis. I envision another checkbox right under "Restrict voting to electoral list" in "Poll settings" that says something like "Restrict viewing to electoral list".
The goal is to hide the poll choices from those not eligible to vote. I haven't looked at the code closely enough to know how muchg work this involves, but something similar seems to be happening already with the submit/vote button (the "you're not eligible" message that is displayed). I'd like to extend that to include the poll options AND question, IF the above suggested checkbox was selected.

ChrisKennedy commentedSo if the checkbox is selected and you're not in the electoral list, what do you see?
What kind of situation would this be useful for?
Ethan Kiczek commentedSeems like a checked checkbox for "Restrict viewing to electoral list" would allow just the electoral list to view the poll, while an unchecked checkbox would provide no such restriction, and would allow anyone with "access content" to see the poll. If the checkbox were checked, and you were NOT in the electoral list, you should get some kind of access denied page.
When would I want this?
I may not want a subset of users to see what another subset of users is voting on. For example, I may have my community-at-large, and I may have a steering committee that needs to vote on something that we don't want to share with the community-at-large. Right now, even if I restrict voting to the steering committee, all users with "access content" can see what we're voting on.

g011um commentedEthan, that's exactly the situation I was envisioning. I work in a committee heavy environment, and there are quite a few decisions made via elections/polls that these committees don't want anyone else seeing. We set the electoral list to match committee members, but as you said, that doesn't stop non-committee members from seeing the options on the ballot.

AndrejT commentedAny new informations about this request? Or maybe its integration into newest module?
