is it possible to filter users?

i.e. user A has 'administer users' and 'edit users with role X' permissions and on admin/user/user page he can see only those users he can administer (with X role assigned); users with other roles (those he can't administer) are not listed

this would be a great feature. It would especially be helpful to exclude the admin username from the list.

Seems to be this functionality exists if we use #928258 with views bulk operations. 5.x is toast at this point.
