the call to theme_get_settings() at the bottom of adaptivetheme/adaptivetheme/inc/template.preprocess-node.inc results in $var['links'] never being set if the user has never loaded their subtheme's configuration page at admin/build/themes/settings/my_adaptivetheme_subtheme
this resulted in page displaying differently on a staging server than on a development server. i was happy with the default theme settings for my subtheme, and so never changed the defaults on the staging site, but as a result the link to add comments mysteriously failed to appear.
i think this is a bug and should be fixed, but if not, this should be clearly documented at adaptivetheme/adaptivetheme_subtheme/README.txt

Jeff Burnz commentedI'm aware of the issue, basically it happens with all the theme settings so really should be documented (at least for the time being).

Jeff Burnz commentedOK, so basically you need to visit the theme settings at least once and save it.
Just cleaning up the issue queue.

tmetzger commentedIs there a way to accomplish this procedure programmatically from an installation profile? I'm attempting to have a subtheme be set up correctly as the admin theme.
