Hello,

I recently installed the ad module on my d5 installation, but unfortunately I can't create ads. I have created ad groups already.
Even though I installed and activated the ad module and the text ad, html ad and image ad modules I get the following error on the content create > ad page:

Advertisements can be randomly displayed to visitors of your website.
Choose from the following available advertisement types:
There are no advertisement types available.

Also, on the admin > content > types > ad > fields page I get the following error:
At least one ad type module must be enabled before you can create advertisements. For example, try enabling the ad_text or ad_image module.
There are no groups configured for this content type.
There are no fields configured for this content type.

Therefor it seems as if the main ad module does not recognize the sub ad modules I have activated : text, html and image.

Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

Are you sure you have granted ad type rights to the role of your user?
Are you sure you have the sub-modules providing types active?
Have you tried to install ad_flash or other "external" type module like that?
Have you tried to reinstall all ad-related modules (using reinstall functionality)?
Have you tried to switch-off all taxonomy related modules that are not related to ad?
Have you rebuilt permission table after all that? ( http://localhost/admin/content/node-settings/rebuild )
Have you checked rdbms type and version (ie postgresql 8.3+) required by your modules against the one you're using?

I'll try to help you if you'll say yes to all that questions and provide screenshots of configuration.
