I just moved a website from my local server to my live server and Image Ads are not displayed.
Instead, just the alt text appears

Looking at the source code, here is the path where the AD module thinks the images are located :

http://www.mywebsite.com/sites/all/modules/ad/sites/default/files/AD-rectangle.png

instead of

http://www.mywebsite.com/sites/default/files/AD-rectangle.png

I have tried to reinstall the AD module and to re-create all my ads and ad groups. nothing changed.
I am running out of ideas. Anyone can help ?
Thank you in advance

Jeremy,

thank you for replying.

I carefully read the thread you suggested I look at. I think I'm having a different issue than the one described there.

When I noticed the problem after upgrading my live site, I decided to remove every ad I had in the db and then to remove and reinstall entirely the ad module.
So now in the table redirect I have a correct URL path for my ads :

http://www.myrightsite.com/ad/redirect/83

Yet I still get what I wrote in the post above as a path to my images:

http://www.myrightsite.com/sites/all/modules/ad/sites/default/files/AD-rectangle.png

It seems like the module uses its own location as the base URL rather than the root of my publicHTML folder.

I am in a subdomain w/ subfolder on my server. Do you think it could be the reason for that problem ?

Thank you

Update : I found out that turning the display type from "javascript" to "raw" fixes the problem !!! And my image ad is back.
None of the javascript, jquery or iframes types work, just the raw. It's better than nothing, but I would still like to use the javascript method.

Any idea of where the bug does come from and how I could fix it?

Do you have the problem in different web browsers? If so, can you collect debug output by following the directions in documentation/DEBUG.txt?

Jeremy,

Thank you for replying.

The problem is fixed now. What created the bug was a zip file containing backups of my modules and still present in my sites/all/modules folder.
Weird ! I removed it and Ad was then able to find its images. Sorry for requesting your help for such a thing. Thank you again for your interest.
