Architeck commentedIts a cheap, quick fix,
but open up the ad.module in your text editor
using a find or search feature locate "view counter" around line 2716 if your using dreamweaver.
alt="view counter"
change to
alt=""
This worked for me without any issues

jeremy commentedWhat web browser and Operating System are you using?
Comment #3
aharown07 commentedBrowser & OS:
Right now I'm in Firefox 3.1 and Vista homprem x64. But the problem was occurring as well in FF 2.x and XP Pro.
The "view counter" text is not appearing in IE.
Comment #4
aharown07 commentedI am using this solution for now. Thanks GeoffPalin!
Comment #5
jeremy commentedIf you restore the 'alt ="view counter"', then change the height and width on the same line from 0 to 1, does the problem also go away?
Comment #6
aharown07 commentedNo, it doesn't. Also, in the ver 1.6 I'm up to now the line number is 2859
Comment #7
jeremy commentedI duplicated this in the 6.x-dev tree when using the ad_cache_memcache module to display advertisements. It is now fixed.

chrism2671 commentedDoesn't the fix detailed above not fix the problem? In order to get the view counter to work, doesn't it have to load an invisible image? If that image is not being loaded, are views being counted?
Comment #10
srsbl commentedI'm still getting "view counter" below the ads in Firefox. I've made the change from alt="view counter" to alt="" to fix it for now.
Comment #11
isidoromendez commentedthe solution alt="view counter" -> alt="" is ok for a while. But the problem is not solved.
If you load image in a browser...
"http: ... /sites/all/modules/ad/serve.php?o=image&a=891&c=memcache"
you get the message:
"Fatal error: Call to undefined function module_load_include() in /.... ..../sites/all/modules/ad_memcache/ad_cache_memcache.inc on line 320".
So, for some reazon the function module_load_include() is not visible in the context.
I'm looking the final solution, someone know how to fix it?
TKS in advance!

lrwebks commentedDrupal 6 is EOL and no longer supported. Closing this as outdated for that reason. Thanks for your contribution!
