I was wondering if it's possible to limit the number of image uploads?
Thanks for the great module!

jeremy commentedThis is not currently possible. It would make a great add-on module. If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to add any necessary hooks.

bishopbooyah commentedI've been researching this and one way to do it is instead of using the upload module, the AD module could use the Image Field module. However, it's a cck field.
I also found this patch which will add the ability to specify the number of uploads per node per user in the upload module. However, it generates a js error and would require reapplication when updating drupal.
There is also the attachment module but it's currently only a dev release.

jeremy commentedAdding CCK support for the ad module is fairly high on my todo list, as can be found in another issue in this issue queue. Someone else is more than welcome to step in and contribute code before I get to it.

bishopbooyah commentedI think using imagefield would be perfect. What would it require to implement this? Just a new database call?
The reason I'm interested in limiting the images is because if I approve one image, there is nothing to stop an advertiser from coming in and uploading another image - one that I might not approve of.
What I think I'm going to do is use a template: if the ad status is pending, approved or active, the upload field will be disabled or hidden. If an advertiser needs to change the image, they may contact me and I'll change the status to either unpublished or offline.

jeremy commentedPostponing until someone comes along with a patch.

jeremy commentedThis will be solved when an ad_cck module is created. It won't be solved by itself, as I'm not interested in further enhancing the ad_image module -- the time would be better spent creating an ad_cck module. Closing issue.
