Intergration with node gallery/views

I am attempting to create a facebok style "catch-all" activity stream using views. I am using the Node Gallery Module and would like to have images appear in the stream. When I add a "node gallery field" to the "user profile activity page" under the "activity" view, my results only return activity that has that field and not the "catch-all" activity with pictures as intended.

How would I overcome this?
