I was able to set the setting only by directly going to admin/settings/activity

This page in not linked in any menu page is admin. It is not under Activity module (when you access admin by module). So there is no way to set this settting unless you know full path.

Hmm. I can't find the links from admin or admin/settings. Not even in the place you have shown. And here is screenshot for admin/by-module (like the 3rd image in your post) and you can clearly see the activity link is completely missing. Using 6.x-2.x-dev version

Please don't change the priority. This is confined most likely to your setup. Critical is reserved for issues that prevent the module from working in all setups.

  • Does your webmaster user have permission: "administer activity"
  • Do you have the latest Activity2 download?

I've tried this with a fresh install and multiple themes and am having the same thing. I'm user 1 so have permissions and it is most definitely the latest from CVS.

So I went looking for what's up and found that if I remove the 'type' => MENU_CALLBACK, from the 'admin/settings/activity' item, and use devel to rebuild the menu router (with /devel/menu/reset) that I do then have the item appear.

I think the correct item type should be MENU_NORMAL_ITEM

ok committed that and change the weight from 3 to 0. That gave the proper ordering. But, should note that i was unable to reproduce still, http://skitch.com/supermanscott/neuec/site-configuration-scotts-contrib

And I believe the reason might be in how I set up my permissions for that user.

It was previously listed as a MENU_LOCAL_ITEM not MENU_CALLBACK.
