I've been developing a "group" like module in an effort to better understand how Drupal 8 module development works.
As part of that, I've been trying to figure out how to properly set access permissions.
While reading the code for the node access D7 example module, it pointed me to ACL.
After downloading ACL and skimming through it's code, I'm stuck on how I would use ACL in my own module.
Do I just set ACL as a dependency and then start using the functions in acl.module? Is there a guide on how to use ACL somewhere? There's nothing about developing with it in the README.
I did download the D8 version of Content Access. It doesn't depend on ACL in the .info file, and skimming through the code didn't really help.
Anyway, I'm guessing I'm missing something obvious. Some help pointing that out would be appreciated.
Thanks!

salvisNo, sorry, there's no documentation.
The state of Content Access is unclear. You may see more clearly with Forum Access.

salvisIt would be nice to have a D8 Developer Guide, but I doubt it's going to happen.
The question is answered.
