This seems increasingly unlikely as a lot of people are opting to use more robust profile options like Content Profile or Profile 2.

But these solutions don't have anything for location. And 505 sites are currently using profile location. And more may use if they see there is a future upgrade path (I am one of them :))

I'm not ruling it out. Let's monitor the development of those other efforts and see how it goes.

BTW, you might want to check out my other profile location related module call Profile Locality. It was just released last weekend and is more robust than Profile Location. I'm more likely to convert that to D7.

Unless someone can convince me otherwise, I have no intentions of porting Profile Location to Drupal 7.
