I am trying to import a bunch of pms coming out of a legacy website. I have mapped uids, titles, text etc on a table I adopted with table wizard, and can use the corresponding view.

When I create a new migration set in migrate, I am asked to also map the thread id of each new pm(Thread Message ID). That seems to me like a chicken and egg problem. How can I create PMs and at the same time link them to other PMs?

I have tried to input the value 0 to the thread id, and pms are not migrated. I also tried to input the autoinc field of each message that I inherited from my legacy data, so as to "fool" migrate into believing that each message is in each own thread. That didn't work either.

I am getting this wrong? How can I move forward with the migration process? The error I get is 

1	 Message didn't save
1	 Message not saved

Migrate and Migrate Extras V1 are no longer supported. There's a patch for Migrate Extras V2 support for private msg at #984050: Privatemsg code for 2.x branch.
