I using drupal 4.7.3 on OpenSuse 10.1 updated (php, mysql, etc)
I have enabled imagecache modules in control panel, and created preset named testpreset.
Nothing happens in /files folder
Then i have checked permissions and changed files perms to 777 and tryed to create presed
named test2
nothing again....
Okay, I have created presert folder manually, using 777 or 775 perms and uploaded image using imagefiled module in cck. Yes, image appears in /files, but bot in any of preset folders (actions "scale" was added to presets).
Is this bug?

After updating imagecache-> preset -> update preset all folders in /imagecache are deleted!!!

Very often i get message
page not found 2006-10-22 21:06 system/files/imagecache not found.
in drupal log

which version of imagecache are you using.
updating a preset should delete the file tree. Thats how the caches are flushed.
