Hello, with all of the accessibility enhancements that have gone into Drupal core, I am asking for theme maintainers to sign up for the #D7AX pledge. We are asking for theme maintainers to pledge to make their themes as accessible as it can be. We're not asking that you guarantee that your theme is 100% accessible, however this pledge will assure folks that maintainers are aware of the importance of accessibility and if individuals submit an accessibility issue it will be taken seriously.
To ask more about accessibility within the Drupal context, please feel free to join http://groups.drupal.org/accessibility and post your questions or concerns. Themes which have signed up can be found automatically, but are also available here. By simply adding #D7AX to your description page of your theme we can keep track of your support for this initiative.

mgiffordThat's funny. But ya, actually making an effort is more useful than making a pledge to make an effort. The thing with the pledge is that it shows other folks in the community that this is an important issue and reminds folks about it. It also raises the profile of your theme for those who want to ensure that they are starting with a good base.
As a hack you are most welcome to use the hash tag #D7AX & then just fill in whatever details you like into what you feel comfortable committing to. That a reasonable compromise?
