Sorry for this basic question but I already tried looking it up in the search but no definite answers for a newbie like me.

Anyway, in the themes section (bluemarine) the default is the "Drupal logo" and the "Drupal word" on the upper left hand side.

I can easily remove both the "logo" and "word" but how can I put another "word" (to signify website name) after removing the "Drupal Word".

As for the logo, I have seen an "upload logo" part in the themes configuration so I guess I would not yet have a problem with that.

I do not know what Drupal version I have, I just installed it via cpanel/fantastico from one of the web hosts.

Thanks!

In your site settings -> general settings you can set the name
In themes -> configure you can specify a path to another logo

If you are using drupal-7.10 and wants to edit site name then after login as site admin click to Configuration tab and read very carefully from here you could configure your site.

Hi,

You can change site name in Configuration > System > Site Information > Site Name

http://www.gatodev.com/index.php?qa=26&qa_1=como-cambiar-el-nombre-del-sitio-en-drupal

then you can change logo in Appereance > (then select your theme) > Settings
