Attached is a patch that will add an ORDER BY clause to the autocomplete callback. This is needed so that short words appear before longer words. In my case I had many nodes called "Newsletter ....." and I could not get the autocomplete to show the node called "News".

jaydub commentedPatch works as intended. Simple but helpful improvement.

jaydub commentedRe-rolling the patch to remove the references to the original poster's local filesystem. Patch now applies cleanly with path -p0
